Antique ironing board hallway table furniture

This amazing antique ironing board has been reshaped so that it no longer appears as belonging to the laundry room. In fact, it can hold its own pretty much anywhere... a table in the hallway, a coffee station, a cocktail bar, a sofa table... And those wood wheels mean that it can be re-positioned with little effort in seconds. The board is stabilized for safety and structural integrity and does not collapse. So the tool used once for a tedious chore, now becomes a piece of furniture for you.

Top has been stripped to bare wood and is finished in a hand-made layered stain technique to imitate old barn wood so shades of caramel, brown and gray are present. This is not a finish that has been painted. Sealed in a polyurethane matte. Base in an acrylic-based sealer is painted in charcoal gray, slightly distressed and sealed.
